Our Month:From 30 December 1935 until 26 September 1962 when she grew too ill to work, Eleanor Roosevelt wrote a six-day- a-week newspaper column titled “My Day.” The column appeared in 90 papers in all parts of the nation and had a reading audience of over 4 million, making her the second most read female columnist in all of the United States. It would be unreasonable for us to send out a news letter each day, so instead, we have ‘Our Month.’ Feel free to circulate future versions of this to those who may have interest in joining, or supporting us in what we do!
What is Silver Wings?Silver Wings is a university, national, co-ed, professional organization dedicated to creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders through community service and education about national defense and Air Power. The majority of the organization's members are not members of a military branch, though we do welcome all service men and women, and those in training. Our goal is to promote the understanding and importance of aerospace power and national defense as a whole.
